I think her new life is hard to live by. I dont think she made a mistake because she had no where to go and someone tried to marry her. but i would not want to live as a puritan
No, I do not think that Kit made a mistake in coming to the colony. The colony sounds awful, so if I was Kit I would try to get money from the old man but wouldn't actually marry him. That way Kit would be able to stay in Barbados. I wonder if we are going to see Nat Eaton agian? He reminds me of my older brother because is freindly but gets angry easily.
I think Kit's new life is a little confusing but it seems to be getting more exciting to Kit everyday as she gets used to her new life. I don't think Kit made a mistake in coming to Wethersfeild because her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins were her only family that she had left
I think Kit's new life is OK. I woudn't want to do all those chores, have to listen to Matthew Wood's yelling, and have to go to church twice a day every sunday! But I think she did the right thing in coming to America. The Woods are her only family.
i totally agree with gabriel i mean that what i will do even if it was a little mean...becouse the colonie sounds aful you cant swim you have to be puritian and you have to go to mass every sunday for like 2 hours each!
I think Kit's new life is OK, but I know I wouldn't want to be the one living it. She has to do so many chores, but doesn't know how to do many of them, and I don't blame her, because I wouldn't know how to do them. I don't think she should go back to Barbados, half because I think it would be weird to marry someone who is 34 years older than me, and half because Kit obviously doesn't want to.
I think that Kit didn't make a mistake coming to Wethersfeild, because the Woods are her only family, and it would be really creepy if a 50 year old asked you to marry him. :)
No, I don't think Kit made a mistake in coming to america because she really didn't have any money to get a house back in barbado. And there was a really old man in barbados that wanted to marry her but she didn't want to marry him and the Woods are her only family.
the chores are insainly hard theres tons of work.two times of church might having to go into the stocks whiping or getting rocks on there fingers.also life would have been better marying that other guy in some ways and not in some ways.
It was a good choice if she didnt go shed be stuck with an old man shed be trying to avoid, Her family is pretty nice but are very religeous she has to get used to the puritna culture.Kit thinks it was a good choice but she has a very hard life ahead of her
I like Kit's new life because it's more work and NO work on the sabeth. And NO I don't think it was a bad decestion to go to America because if she stayed at Barbatos she would married the man.
I think Kit's life is more diffucult than before because she has to work. I think Kit was right in coming to America because she had no family but she should of sent a letter.
Kit's new life seems very hardworking and exiting. Allshe needs to do is get used to it. Kit didn't make a mistake coming to the colonies. Besides, that was her only option.
kits life seems to get more exciting every day her chores not so much but after a while when you get into the book it becomes a normal system and not so bad and i think she made the right choice coming to wethersfield because she had no other choice but i think it might have been a good heads upto tell the woods she was coming im really looking forward to see if she marries william
Kit's new life is very hard. I would hate to waok every day except sunday when tou have to go to church for hours twice. I still think Kit made the right choice going to Wethersfield.
kit's new life is normal for the 1600s and 1700 but is a bit over the line for the 21st century. no kit did not make a mistake. she had no family exept the woods. she had no money, no house, no family.
No. I think it was 100% right to move to Amarica, she may not be good at anything or not fit in or not practice the religen her aunt and uncle do but she just needs to work harded (even she really isn't work all that hard).
I think Kit's new life is difficult. Especially going to church every sunday. Kit made the right choice to go to Wethersfield and live with the Wood's.
I don't really think Kits is liking her new life at Wethersfield. It would be really hard to go to church two times every day, and have to live under the Puritan rules. I am looking forward to see if Kit is really going to William.
I think that it's kind of embarrising for her to be unable to do things right and there was no mistake leaving Barbados because she had nobody to care for her, no money, and no home! For crying out loud, she would be on the streets without her decision!
Kit's new life sounds very hard! She has to adapt to so many new things! If I was Kit, I would have definitly gone to Wethersfeild though! I wonder if Kit will get in any more fights with Judith?
Kit's new life is ok, I don't think going to church twice on Sunday, doing chores, and having to read the bible every night would be fun. However she has no other choice but to marry a 50 year old guy in Barbados, so coming to Weathersfield was a great choice!
I think she made the right choice going to Wethersfield because she had no where to go and her life i bet is a big change for her ,but she will get the hang of things.
I also think it would be really hard to live with Matthew Wood. It would be really bad if she got put in the stocks. Also I am wondering how they made the popcorn. And isn't popcorn a luxury? It is luxurious to me.
I think Kit made the right coise even thogh it would be an easier to just marry that old guy. The work is extremely hard and life is extremely stern way to stern for a FOOLHARDY girl.
I think that Kit's new life is ok , but I would not want to live that life . Even though her new life is hard I think that she made a good decision about coming to the American Colonies because she didn't have any family except the Wood family , but it might have been nice if she had told the Woods that she was coming .
hannah now you know why matthew is upset because what happend to him before. And i think that popcorn isn't a luxury and i think a lot of people could make it. hint hint popcorn could be a luxury by sitting on the couch and eating it.;)
I think Kit's new life is challenging having to make that huge decision to move to America. And since she had never met the Woods before that could be scary. She definetly did not make a mistake coming to America that was her only family, plus if I lost all I had and was 16 years-old with no family i would go to the only family out there.
i dont think kit made the wrong decision going there because she had no where else to go but i thik if she is there she has to follow THERE rules instead of making upp her own because at one point she will get a concequence...
Kit's new life is probably very hard for her right because she isn't used to the puritan ways, doing chores or other things. I think she did not make a mistake because she would have had to marry one of her grandfathers friends to keep her house and her slaves without going into more debt than she was so thats why to pay all that off she had to sell her house and her slaves.
I think that Kit made an awesome choice going to america because i would not want to mary an old wrinkly man and because i think she will become a more sucessful person and learn how to work hard and have good manners and i would not want to mary that old man.
Hannah Tupper seems very mysterious to me no wonder the book is called the Witch of Blackbird Pond.I Believe that she isn't like the other people maybe she..., in a way is like Kit. she sounds so interesting.
I think Kit's new live is okay the chores are not good but every day there is somthing cool coming around the corner. I don't think Kit made a mistake coming to Weathersfield it was her only choice, but she should of told them she was comming before comming there.
I don't think Kit made a mistake. The Wood's are the only family she has. I think her new life will be ok and she will get used to it but I don't think Kit is enjoying her new Puritan life she has to follow.
I definitely think that Kit had a better life in Barbados. I also think that she was right to go to Wethersfield. I agree with Matthew Wood, Kit should have written before she sailed to Wethersfield. Kit's new life is not as luxurious as her life in Barbados, although it is pretty substantial. She did make a good decision in coming to Wethersfield, but as I said before, it would have been more appropriate if she would have written.
I think Kit made a good decision. I don't think she should marry the man in Barbados. Even though Kit has to do lots of chores in Wethersfield and go to church two times a day. I think she's going to get use to it.
I dont think that Kit made a mistake going to Wethersfield because she had nowhere else to go. Kits new life is not as good as she probably thought though. I dont think she likes it as much.
Kit didn't make a mistake by coming to America because she would have to marry an old man. It's better to learn the hard way than do something you don't want to do.
Kit Tylers new life stile seems pretty hard because of all the rules and the stuff that she does now, she had slaves do it for her. So, it is hard for her.[I guess] I also, think she did not make a mistake to go to Wethersfeild because there she had relatives and there wer the only other family that she would have. Also, she met nice people and there they talked alot about her being a royalist. So, I think her life so far is going pretty well.
I think that Kit is adjusting to her new life in the Woods Family. She's adjusting because she is starting to get more comfortable to where she lives and the way she lives ( Now). I think to make things easier she is starting to go to meeting more and she is wearing the torn up clothes made by Mercy and Rachel. She's making her life harder by complaining and not working as much and when she does work she just slacks off.
I think that Kit did make a really good choice to go to America because she had no family and she was only a teenage girl. It is definitely a difficult change for her though because she will have to work all day and in Barbados she had slaves to do that. But hopefully she will get used to it.
i agree with tayler i think it is kind of hard because her grampa must have been a laid back rich man who didnt care about "chores" so kit is still learning about there life style!!!
kit is improving rapidly while also losing some reputation in her new life. she is also making some changes to make life easier but her life, i think, will never be right for Wethersfield she will try and i think by being herself, which is what she should do, she is messing up the puritans "style"
I think it was very hard...
ReplyDeleteI think her new life is hard to live by. I dont think she made a mistake because she had no where to go and someone tried to marry her. but i would not want to live as a puritan

ReplyDeleteIt would stink to have such a strict life, but to marry a 50 year old man-I know I would`ve gone with the strict life!
